Fund Raising

Why Do We Do It?

We are people who care about others.

Our ideal is to be of service as a group to others without regard to race, religion, politics or the personal interests of our members.

We ask for no reward but get great satisfaction from the knowledge that we have provided help and happiness when this has been needed.

How Do We Do It?

For most of our projects we need money and this we raise from the general public through sponsored events of many kinds:

Book fairs

The next book fayre will be on Saturday 16th April at the Twyn Community Centre in Caerphilly.

All proceeds will be going to Caerphilly District Miners Hospital - please helpus raise as much money as we can for your local hospital.

Doors open at 10:00 a.m sharp.

Tombola stalls/Fetes

Pub Runs

We also collect empty inkjet cartridges and laser toner cartridges for recycling purposes. If you or your organisation think you may be able to help, get in touch with us by clicking on the following link: cartridges@Caerffililions.org.uk

Administration Costs

The complete cost of administering our Association, at all levels, is covered by our members' subscriptions. We are not allowed to deduct any percentage of the money raised from public functions for our administrative needs. It all goes to charity.

In the UK, a total of £220,000 is raised each week by lions clubs, which does not include the hours put into voluntary work.
